DC Ramban visits site of mishap
RAMBAN, DECEMBER 14: Atleast five persons including four women died and two others were injured in a tragic road accident near Chuchattar in Tehsil Rajgarh, here today. The deceased include the driver of the ill fated Tempo Traveler and four women.
Immediately after receiving information, Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mussarat Islam, who had left Chuchattar after performing the last rights of Martyr, ASI, J&K Police, Ghulam Hassan Bhat, reached at the site of accident to oversee rescue operation. He also visited PHC Rajgarh to enquire about the injured persons who were later shifted to district Hospital Ramban.
The DC extended his condolence to the grief stricken family members and assured financial assistance of Rs 30000 to the Next of the Kin of deceased and Rs 25000 in favour of those injured.
The DC urged the drivers to drive with utmost care on the Chanderkot- Rajgarh- Chuchattar road and added that the district administration will submit a proposal for installation of crash barriers and parapets to safeguard the lives of those commuting on the road.
