KAS officers condemn Shafqat’s posting as SMC chief

Jammu, Feb 11: Day after Dr Shafqat Khan was given the additional charge of Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, the Kashmir Administrative Service officers on Friday strongly condemned the move, saying “it defies administrative logic” and amounts to “demeaning the post.”
A spokesman of KAS Officers Association said it held an emergency meeting on Friday to “condemn the move of the Government to give additional charge of the Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), to a junior Medical Officer, vide Government Order No.157-GAD of 2017 dated 09.02.2017.”
