New Delhi, Feb 12: Actor Piyush Mishra is known for the magic he weaves with his words, and this is exactly what he did in Kirori Mal College on Thursday. A speaker at the Kalam Youth Festival, organised by the A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Centre in association with the college, Mishra kept the crowd entertained as he crooned songs like Husna, recited poetry and had a candid interaction session with the students.
Ab toh main phir bhi sudhar gaya, par pehle main itna battameez tha ki agar yaha baitha toh tum logo ko bahut gaaliyaan deta. Itna ganda pehle tha, ab nahi hoon upar khuda dekh raha hai isliye (If I were sitting here five years ago, I would be swearing at all of you. But I’ve improved now, because God is watching),” he said, addressing the students of the college.
The students were in splits as Mishra pointed out the difference between his generation and the gen next. “Things were different in our times. When we would get our heart broken, the whole mohalla would know that a lover has had his heart broken. Things in your times are so different, right after a break up – you guys have a rebound,” he said.
Sharing tips with students on how to impress a girl, the actor also recounted an anecdote where he had been upfront with a girl. “I had been sitting in Anurag Kashyap’s office and actors were auditioning. When I liked a girl who was present there, Anurag asked me to go and tell her. So I went up to her and said: ‘Mohatarma, aapko dekh ke bahut gande khayaal aa rahe hain.’ She started at me for five minutes before praising me for my honesty,” he explained. “That was when I understood the key to impressing a girl.”
