Driver killed, helper injured as oil tanker falls into gorge in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, Feb 14: A driver killed while helper got injured as oil tanker they were travelling in rolled down and fell into a deep gorge, caught fire in Udhampur district. “An oil tanker carrying a fuel supply from Jammu to Srinagar this morning caught fire after it plunged into a deep gorge near Chenani on the national highway in Udhampur,” police here said. They said that the tanker driver identified as Nazir of Nadaal, district Poonch died on the spot. Injured helper have been evacuated and hospitalised, police said.
