JAMMU, Feb 14: Karan Khullar, 22-year-old young lad from Jammu lost his life in Unites States. He was studying there in University of Florida. As per the official reports, he was waiting at a bus stop in front of the Campus Club Apartments on Southwest 37th Boulevard with two friends when Damaris Guerrero-Garcia, 23,drunk driving drove off the road at high speeds and struck the group. The car crashed into the group and the impact threw Karan Khullar several feet away. He was immediately shifted to hospital but doctors declared him dead. Karan’s friends also got injuries from this reckless incident. Guerrero-Garcia was stopped by the Florida Highway Patrol in Marion County and given a Breathalyzer test, where she blew 0.14 blood alcohol level and was arrested, officials said. The legal limit for driving under the influence is 0.08. She was later put behind the bars. Khullar was an alumnus of Army High School, Kaluchak and graduated from Jaypee University of Information Technology. After that, he had several internships as a student at different companies such as Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., JUIT Youth Club (JYC). Later, he succeeded in securing a seat at University of Florida. His friends and family remember him as a very compassionate person.
