JAMMU, FEBUARY 16: Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura today attended 88th Annual General meeting of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) which was chaired by the Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Radha Mohan Singh here today.
During the meeting, the Minister raised various requirements to give further boost agriculture sector and activities in Jammu and Kashmir. He specially sought Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) for Gurez and Zanaskar and Yak development Centre for Leh to improve agriculture and allied activities in the cold desert region of Ladakh.
Mr Hanjura also raised the issues related to upgrading amenities for students and general infrastructure in Sher-e-Kashmir Agricultural University of Science and Technology (SKAUST) Kashmir and Jammu.
The Union Minister assured the Agriculture Minister that the action regarding these issues will be taken on priority.
