REASI, Feb 18: Giving push to the developmental activities in various wards of Reasi town, Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Information Technology, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, FCSCA, Tribal Affairs, Relief & Rehabilitation and Labour & Employment, Ajay Nanda today said a network of pedestrian pavements, lanes and drains is being laid in the district.
While elaborating on the development works under progress in the town, the Minister assured that with the completion of all ongoing works, the basic problems of residents will be resolved.
The Minister also conducted extensive tour of wards under Municipal limits where besides inspecting works, he also laid foundation of new works including construction of 230 feet lanes/drains in Ward no. 4 and 95 feet long lanes near Garden Estate in ward no. 6.
The Executive Officer informed that both the works will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 5 lakh.
The Minister also stressed upon promoting Swachh Bharat Mission and appealed the residents for voluntary contribution by keeping their surroundings clean.
The Minister was accompanied by Executive Officer, Engineers, other officers and local people.
