Srinagar, Feb 27 : A delegation of Hurriyat (G) on Monday visited Solina, in Srinagar and met Tariq Ahmad Dar who was recently set free from long incarceration.
According to the statement , the Hurriyat delegation comprised of Jammu Kashmir National Front chairman and senior Hurriyat leader, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Tehreek-e-Mazahat chairman, Bilal Sidiqi, Salim Zargar, Mulsim League leader, Mohammad Yousuf Mir and Insaf Party chairman, Gulzar Ahmad Gulzar visted the residence of Tariq.
Hurriyat leaders expressed satisfaction over the release of Tariq Ahmad Dar, and hailed his and his family’s patience which they exhibited in the past twelve years.
The leaders expressed serious concern over the deteriorating condition of the Kashmiri prisoners in different jails in Jammu Kashmir and India.
“These prisoners of conscience are facing callous approach of the Indian judiciary and jail authorities at the same time only because they belong to the disputed territory and a particular religious community,” the statement reads
