UDHAMPUR, FEBRUARY 27:- District Development Commissioner Udhampur , Niraj Kumar today flagged off Farmers’ Field -cum- Exposure tour , from DC Office complex, here .
The tour which was organised by the Department of Agriculture, Sub- Division Udhampur comprises of two batches of farmers from different zones and areas of District Udhampur who would be visiting various places both within and outside the district including Chinore farm, Jammu(outside the district) and Sudh mahadev, Mantalai, Mansar, Jib etc.(within the district) under the ATMA programme .
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that the tour has been organized for the farmers with an aim to well verse them with the latest methodologies, tools and techniques that can be further used by them to increase the agriculture produce. During the visit, the DDC added that, they would get to meet and interact with the farmers of other areas which in turn would help them to learn some new innovative methods besides sharing their experiences.
The DDC asked Chief Agriculture Officer Udhampur to arrange more such programmes in future also.
Among others, ACR Subash Chander Dogra, Chief Agriculture Officer Udhampur Ajay Koul ,various officers of agriculture department and farmers were present on the occasion.
