New Delhi, March 04: Varun Dhawan, known for his chocolate boy image, feels his role in the upcoming film Badrinath Ki Dulhania is quite different from his own personality.
At a promotional event for the movie, Varun said: “It felt really good while doing this. After a long time, I am doing a role which is different from the real me. The director did a lot of work on my role.”
The Badlapur star also shared how the kids born and brought up in big cities do not know about the traditions of smaller cities and how he saw the film in a different way after all the research.
“Many of the kids, born and brought up in big cities like Delhi or Mumbai or are from different statuses, do not know about their traditions. After all the research, I started to see the movie in a different perspective. Badri is one of the most unlikeliest heroes,” Varun said.
Directed by Shashank Khaitan, Badrinath Ki Dulhania is slated to release on March 11. Alia Bhatt plays the titular bride.
