Jammu, March 7,: The JK Bank Branches will be now promoting Jammu Kashmir’s rich tourism potential across the country in its respective cities, states and towns. This was agreed today in a meeting between secretary Tourism and Floriculture Farooq A shah with the Chairman J K Bank Parvez Ahmad Nengroo at the official head quarters of JK bank in Srinagar.
The two officers agreed to sign an MOU in this regard in which JK bank will promote the state of Jammu Kashmir in its all branches by providing publicity materials and other information to its clients and customers.
Similarly the JK bank website will also have information displayed about the state tourism product and services. JKTDC packages will also be promoted in the said respective branches .
The secretary who termed it as a good step said that JK bank is an established institution and will effectively help in promoting our state across the country as it is credible and will be supported from our department in all its such efforts which will help ultimately to showcase our rich potential of tourism in domestic market.
The Tourism trade bodies unanimously have appreciated this step and have hoped good results and benefits out of it.
