BOSE employees leave office at will ‘Wait for months for a duplicate certificate’

Srinagar, March 14: (Agencies) The approach of Jammu Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has been callous towards the people who visit the office for the redressal of their issues related to the academics.
The visitors who can be seen in long queues inside the office premises at Bemina Srinagar alleged that majority of the BOSE employees remain absent from duty. “You will find one or the other employee in all the sections of the Board absent and when you try to enquire, you will receive only invectives. The insolent behavior of the BOSE employees is unbearable,” said Zahid Ahmed, a class 12th student to agencies.
Another visitor Mohammad Jaffar Saleem said that he has been visiting the BOSE office from past two months to get the duplicate class 10th certificate. “Whenever I visit here, I find the concerned staff member who happens to be a female absent from the duty. In her absence I submitted my documents before Section Officer. It has been two months and my duplicate certificate is still not in my hands. Yet, again today, I was informed that the concerned staffer who is supposed to issue duplicate certificates has left the office, though it was only 2:30 of the day,” he said.
“I fail to understand why it takes over 2 months to issue a duplicate certificate and why majority of the employees leave the office at will. There is no accountability,” he said.
A BOSE official said that there is accountability and the employees are punctual and regular. “The duplicate certificates come from New Delhi and it takes months,” he said and added that employees behavior is always people friendly. (agencies)
