Srinagar, March 14: (Agencies) The teaching and non-teaching staff at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Amirakadal here in Srinagar has been deprived of the salary for the month of February, while Directorate of School Education Kashmir is least bothered about the problem.
Sources told news agency CNS that authorities recently attached the Principal Government Girls Higher Secondary School Amirakadal as a result she lost drawing and disbursing powers. The Treasury rejected the salary bill for February carrying the signatures of the ‘attached’ Principal. “We don’t want to go into the details why and how the Directorate attached the Principal. But it was the responsibility of the Directorate of School Education Kashmir to look into the matter. In absence of any alternative, the staffers more than 80 in number have been suffering,” said an employee.
As usual the cell number of Director Education Kashmir, Kumar Rajeev Ranjan was switched off. However, Minister of Education Syed Altaf Ahmed Bukhari said that he will ensure the salary gets released without any further delay.
