Jammu, March 16, 2017: Vinod Sharma, Chief Executive Officer of ERA accompanied by technical staff ofJKERA had a detailed inspection of Bikram Chowk Flyover to identify the minor left over works to be completedbefore the completion of the flyover.
The Rs. 77 crores prestigious project comprising of 1.3 km long flyover from Bikram Chowk to Green BeltGandhi Nagar is being executed by JKERA under its ongoing Jammu and Kashmir urban sector Developmentinvestment programme funded by Asian Development Bank. With the commissioning of project the movementof traffic from Bikram Chowk to Satwari will be streamlined to great extent.
The structural part of the flyover is almost complete to the extent of 95%. Now emphasis is being laid on alliedworks like lighting, painting, premixing, erecting of crash barriers, view cutters etc. All agencies associated with theproject were directed to further accelerate the pace of work on these left over minor works to ensure commissioning byApril, 2017.
