    Chopra urges cong workers to gear up for political activities

    Jammu, March 20 :    A meeting of functionaries of DCC, Block and Ward Presidents of Jammu (Urban) District was held here  today at PCC HQ  Shaheedi Chowk Jammu.   Anil Chopra President District Congress Committee (Urban) Jammu presided over the meeting.  All the Block President highlighted the failure of State government in all fronts especially with reference to the maintenance and supply of civil amentias such as Power, Water, Ration supply, Road, health problems, Education etc. The speaker also highlighted the sanitation problems in the Jammu city and some parts of the district. Block president also highlighted the improper implementation of delimitation of panchayats by the ruling party.

    Anil Chopra urged the party workers to gear up political activities in their respective areas for local bodies elections which are likely to be announced shortly by the government.

    Participants also highlighted a very vital issue of settlement of West Pakistan Refugees and DPs of 1947,1965 & 1971, proposed by the previous government of UPA in J&K.

    Sh. Amrit Bali Block President proposed that Chief Electoral Officer may please appoint an officer who should ensure rotational implementation of delimitation process in its letter and spirit.
