Jammu, March 21, 2017: Hundreds of Migrant employees posted in Kashmir Valley today joined the massive show of strength meet organized by All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC) along with All Migrant Employees Association Kashmir (AMEAK) to chalk out future course of agitation if the govt does not concede their demands.
The meet was organized by APMCC to discuss the steps taken and issues resolved by the government regarding the return of migrant employees to Valley who have lost faith in the system and do not feel a sense of security in Kashmir Valley in current circumstances.
The employees giving full mandate to APMCC resolved to initiate a major agitation if their demands of regular release of salaries and giving them more time to feel secure before being forced to resume their duties in hostile conditions were not met with.
Vinod Pandit, Chairman APMCC and King C Bharati, Senior Journalist & National Spokesperson APMCC were the key speakers during the meet which was also addressed among others by Rubon Saproo, Rakesh Pandita, Ranjan Jyotshi, Sanjay Koul, Ajay Bhat, Rakesh Pandita, Kamal Pandita, Manita Koul, Vinod Tickoo, Virender Ji, Rakesh Ji and Anil Pandita.
The employees regretted that on one hand the government was issuing fresh ration cards to the people from Kashmir Valley citing security threat and on the other hand Kashmiri Migrants were being forced by the heads of their respective departments to resume their duties.
The APMCC leadership also sought immediate implementation of Court orders regarding the pending cases of migrant employees besides addressing the issues of de-reserved and other cases pending with SSRB with immediate effect to restore the credibility of the government among migrant community.
The employees also resolved to resist any move to force them joining their duty till government holds direct talks with APMCC-AMEAK leadership on the six point charter of demands and hoped that such a dialogue would be held soon.
