Jammu March 21: President of the National Mazdoor Conference(NMC) Subash Shastri has appealed to the State Finance Minister’s to immediately direct the higher authorities of account & treasuries department to accept the pay bills of employees of the various departments of the state Govt. for the month of Feb 2017 as the same are not been paid due to certain restrictions imposed by the Finance department not to accept the pay bills after 14th of March.
In a memorandum submitted to Dr. Haseeb Darbu here,Shastri pointed out that due to this embargo on salary payments, a lot of departments had not been able draw the salary bills due to delayed allocations of funds as well as calculation of income tax, thereby causing immense amount trouble to the salaried class.
Stressing the need to review their decision to avoid lapsing of funds and issue necessary instructions to concerned for early disbursement of salary, he added.
Issuance of an early notifications regarding implementation of the recommendations of the 7th pay commission in favor of state Govt. employees and pensioners, release of 7% DA installment to the employees of state Govt. and pensioners, creation of wage head for regularly disbursement of daily rated workers monthly salary beside enhancing medical allowance from rupee three hundred to rupees three thousand per month and enhancement of wages of daily rated workers to Rs. Three hundred fifty per day were other demands highlighted in the memorandum.
Shastri hoped that Finance Minister’s will look in to these matters with utmost seriousness to resolves the above long pending issues on priority basis
