Poonch, May 26 : At least two houses were damaged while six domestic animals mainly buffalos were killed in cross border shelling along Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch’sMendhar sib Division on Tuesday morning, officials said.Official sources said that in the wee hours today, Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked firing on villages along Line of Control including Basooni, Balakote forward and others falling in Balakote Tehsil of Poonch’sMendhar Sub Division.“Two houses have received partial damage due to the shelling,” they said, adding that around half a dozen cattle, mainly buffaloes were perished in the shelling.Meanwhile, Jammu based PRO, Lieutenant Col DevanderAnand said that Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation in Balakote on Tuesday morning and used small arms as well as mortars. “Indian Army has retaliated befittingly,” he said
