JKPYC sought independent Judicial probe into the Killings of Sarpanch
Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress team visited the house of its slain Sarpanch Ajay Bharti and conveyed their concern and heartfelt condolences. JKPYC team led by its General Secretary Nimrandeep Singh Bhullar along with Brinder Partap Singh, Divyansh Singh Jamwal (PYC Secretaries) and district youth Congress Jammu Urban President Rahul tandon met with the family members of deceased Ajay Bharti Ji and Condemned the killing. Youth Congress leaders also sought an independent judicial probe to inquire into the circumstances of his killing and fix responsibility in this regard.
“The government should fix responsibility for the failure to provide him security despite showing apprehension of threat to his life,” said Bhullar as he alleged that Pandita was denied protection for being a leader of the opposition Congress party.
“That Ajay ji belonged to the minority community makes his killing even more painful. Youth Congress expressed condolences and sympathy to the bereaved family,” Brinder added.
Speaking to the family members, Divyansh Singh Jamwal charged the UT administration of adopting dual yardsticks and discriminatory approach in the matter of security also, he would have got the required security.
Tandon said, that the Slain sarpanch of village Lukbawan, Larkipora was associated with the Congress party and that is the only reason why the security was denied. He was not a nominated sarpanch but an elected sarpanch from the minority community in Kashmir.
Bhullar also conveyed the heartfelt condolences message of National President Indian Youth Congress Sh. Srinivas B.V and Incharge JKPYC Amarpreet Singh Lally, General Secretary, Indian Youth Congress.
Nimrandeep Singh Bhullar also assured that the party leadership stands firm with the family members of the sarpanch Ajay Bharti Ji.
