All India DNT Welfare Federation and Gulshan Charitable Trust Jammu & Kashmir today held a brief felicitation ceremony at Jammu in which the organisation awarded two very active COVID-Warriors of J&K Dr Darakhshan Andrabi and Suhail Kazmi. Dr Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson of Central Waqf Development Committee of Ministry of Minority Affairs (Government of India) was awarded for her exemplary role in reaching out to the J&K people stranded in different states of India and in other countries of the globe. She worked tirelessly day & night as a bridge between public and the respective governments and government organisations. “She reached out to a huge population of needful people individually and through many platforms and served the people amid lockdown throughout the country and within J&K. Her role in helping the medical cases of J&K in other states is praiseworthy,” reads the citation. Another Award was given away to eminent journalist and social activist Suhail Kazmi. Suhail was awarded for his role as a journalist and as a Covid-warrior. “In addition to his multi-media journalistic campaigns, Suhail Kazmi created a chain of activists who reached out to thousands of needful people during the Crisis of Covid-19 which helped people instantly,”. The brief felicitation function organised at Jammu jointly by the organisations attended by Er Rishi Kilam, Prominent Social Activist & Advisor DNT, Advocate T K Kilam, DNT Chairman, Mashqur Ahmad Bhat, J&K President AIDNT, Rajni Sharma, ChairpersonGulshan Trust J&K and Manu Mahajan, Secretary DNT, J&K. Speaking on the occasion Dr Darakhshan Andrabi said that this was the toughest time for mankind and everybody needs to come to the help of the people in need. Suhail Kazmi thanked the organisations and praised their role also as Covid warriors.
