JKVDA-K elects body, Dr.Mohd Ishaq Bhat as vice president
JKVDA-K elects Central Executive Office Bearers
Srinagar June 18: Elections for various posts of Jammu and Kashmir Veterinary Doctors Association kashmir (JKVDA-K) were held first time through an e-ballot system in view of COVID-19 restrictions with huge participation. Only online campaigning was carried for the election in view of Covid -19 protocol.
The election witnessed a healthy turnout, with an overwhelming participation by all registered veterinarians from the twin Departments of Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Kashmir. The software election runner was used for the election which not only ensured the confidentiality of voters but also provided easy option of voting from their home places.
Dr.Mohd Ishaq Bhat defeated his opponent Dr Parvaiz Ahmad Bhat by a margin of over 25 votes. He thanked vets for posing faith on him and committed to work tirelessly for the welfare of the fraternity and to resolve their grievances.
President Indian Veterinary Association, Dr.Chirantan Kadain congratulated Dr.Mohd Ishaq Bhat for being elected as the president and other office bearers.
Dr A. R. Wani, Officer Incharge ABS-Pulwama, acted as the Returning Officer and delivered his services to the best of his potential for the election, which were appreciated and commended by all. Result was declared the same day with the final elected members as under:
