“Its Time to Strengthen Party At Ground Level & Expose BJP’s Anti-People Policies” Yogesh Sawhney
DCC Jammu Urban conducted a meeting of Block 1 and Block 4 Presidents and Ward Presidents of Jammu West constituency to direct them to strengthen the party at the grass-root level. The meeting, which was held at Party Office in Block no. 5, was chaired by Former Minister J&K Yogesh Sawhney, General Secretary JKPCC and In Charge District President Jammu Urban. It was also decided in the meeting that Blocks 1 and 4 will collectively hold a protest on 25.06.2020 against the Central Government to express their opposition of the price hike in fuel and Diesel, since their prices have been rising for seventeen consecutive days.
Sawhney motivated the leaders to strengthen the party at the ground level to fight the incumbent government’s cruel policies. The members were asked to intensify their campaigns and uphold the beliefs and ethics of the Congress party, in their respective domains and jurisdictions. The Former Minister affirmed that the Block Presidents and Ward Presidents should also muster youth support and promote their participation in spreading awareness about the party’s aims and goals for the public welfare.
In the meeting, present leaders also reviewed various operations that will be undertaken by the party to achieve these goals and thereafter, underlined specific guidelines. The meeting strongly aimed at promoting the concept of grassroots campaigning as a means to connect with the general public and become the local people’s voice.
