Initiate developmental, renovation works in Jagti Township involving residents: JKAP to Relief Organisation
Bakaya expresses anguish over the condition of the track leading to the cremation ground
Jammu, July 1: Asking Relief Organisation to initiate some development and renovation works in Jagti Township, J&K Apni Party, senior leader and Ex-MLC, Vijay Bakaya has expressed anguish at the condition of the track leading to the cremation ground at the Township in Nagrota.
In a press statement, the Ex-MLC Vijay Bakaya said: “It is surprising that the Relief Organization has not smoothened this small stretch of rough boulder and stone rode track to make it fit for use of vehicles and those walking on foot to attend the last rites at the cremation ground.”
Bakaya also noted that “In the absence of an ambulance at Jagati, it is very problematic for the coffins to be taken up to the cremation ground.”
“The concerned authorities should provide an ambulance which should be available round the clock at Jagti so that it can be used in case of any medical emergency,” said Bakaya.
He said that the people living in the Township have been facing multiple issues on a daily bases and the concerned department should involve locals whenever they take any decision with regard to developmental or renovation works. He said that the short track should be shingled and metalled immediately.
