COVID-19: 26 CRPF men, 5 pregnant women among 256 test positive; J&K tally 8931
Recovery rate reaches 60.45 percent in UT
Srinagar:Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday recorded 256 fresh Covid positive cases that include 25 CRPF men, three Sahastra Seema Bal (SSB) men and five pregnant women taking the total number of cases in the UT to 8931.
Officials told news agency—that among new cases that were detected in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, 101 were tested positive at SKIMS, 06 at JVC Bemina and rest at other hospitals.
Among 256 new cases, 182 belong to Kashmir division while as 74 are from Jammu division, officials said, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division has reached to 7048 including 4072 recoveries and 129 deaths
while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division has reached to 1883 including 1327 recoveries and 14 deaths.
The officials said that total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 3389 including 2847 from Kashmir division and 542 from Jammu division.
With 81 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 5399 which is 60.45 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 61 from Srinagar, 16 from Kulgam, 30 from Baramulla, 01 from Shopian, 08 from Anantnag, 18 from Kupwara, 16 from Pulwama, 10 from Budgam, 08 from Bandipora and 14 from Ganderbal in Kashmir division while as 74 from Jammu division include 12 from Jammu, two from Udhampur, 06 from Kuthua, 02 from Ramban, 02 from Samba, 07
07 from Poonch, 20 from Rajouri, 13 from Doda and 10 from Kishtiwar,” officials disclosed.
Dr G H Yatoo, Nodal officer for Covid-19 at SKIMS said that out of 2574 samples tested at SKIMS on Tuesday, 101 samples were tested positive.
He said 101 new cases include 15 from Kulgam, 14 from Pulwama, 11 from Budgam, 11 from Srinagar, 08 from Bandipora, 06 from Anantnag, 05 from Baramulla, 02 from Ganderbal , one from Shopian and rest from CRPF battalions.
Dr Farooq Jan Medical Superintendent at SKIMS told that 101 patients include 26 from different CRPF battalions, 3 SSB men and 8 from beacon 109 RCC Kupwara.
Dr Reyaz Untoo, Principal at JVC Bemina said that out of 695 samples tested at SKIMS Bemina (JVC) 06 from Srinagar were tested
He added that 14 more patients were discharged from hospital after their complete recovery, taking tally of discharged patients to 573 while as 98 are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
He further added that 21 normal deliveries were managed and 31 major surgeries were conducted at hospital till date. Officials from CD hospital said that new positive cases include 5 pregnant ladies, few police men and 20 from BB cantonment Srinagar.
As per officials figures, 1277 positive cases including 34 deaths and 465 recoveries are from Srinagar, 1094 including 28 deaths and 450 recoveries are from Baramulla, 924 including 614 recoveries and 17 deaths are from Kulgam, 862 including 13 deaths and 629 recoveries are from Shopian, 729 including 12 deaths and 564 recoveries are from Anantnag, 625 including 435
recoveries and 07 deaths are from Kupwara, 588 including 271 recoveries and 04 deaths are from Pulwama, 499 including 284 recoveries and 10 death are from Budgam, 316 including 282 recoveries and 03 death are from Bandipora, 134 including 78 recoveries and 01 death are from are from Ganderbal.
In Jammu division, 415 including 305 recoveries and 08 deaths are from Jammu district, 293 including 207 recoveries and 01 death are from Udhampur, 260 including 195 recoveries and 01 death is from Kathua, 241 including 187 recoveries are from Ramban, 201 including 123 recoveries from Samba, 132 including 115 recoveries and 01 death are from Poonch, 148 including 01 death and 71 recoveries are from Rajouri, 106 including 61 recoveries and 02 death are from Doda, 48 including 35 recoveries are from Reasi and 39 including 23 recoveries are from Kishtwar.
As per the daily information bulletin, 302,227 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 40,332 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 3389 persons are in hospital isolation while 45 persons are under hospital quarantine.
According to the bulletin, 212,899 persons have completed surveillance period and 45,419 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 413,358 samples are available.
Out of 413,358 the number of samples tested negative stands at 404,427 while as 8931 have been tested positive, among them 3389 are active and 5399 persons have recovered and 143 persons have died—
