MAYOR kick starts development works
Continuing his endeavour to provide better development & civic amenities to the people of Jammu city, Sh Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation today on 13/7/2020 conducted an extensive tour in the areas of ward no.25 along with Sh Arun Kumar Khanna councillor ward no.25 and kick-started the up-gradation work of Shishu Samdhian situated near Dr Dara Singh’s clinic Rehari colony of ward no.25. Sh Dinesh Gupta Councilor of ward no.18, Sh Mohinder Kumar Bhagat councillor of ward no.61, Sh Rakesh Gupta, Sh Anil Gupta, Prominent residents as well as other inhabitants of Rehari Colony & its adjoining localities were also present there. Sh Arun Gupta, Executive Engineer, Sh Ram Lal Asstt Executive Engineer, Sh Kuldeep Koul Junior engineer of division –II of JMC and concerned contractor have also accompanied the Mayor during the start of the aforesaid work. Mayor told the gathering that Jammu Municipal Corporation has already taken up the job of renovation/up-gradation cremation grounds/graveyards/Shishu Samadhian in different wards of the city in addition to the construction of drains /lanes of the city and said that each one has to visit these places in one way or other and it is the last destination of every individual which is the universal truth and cannot be denied. Mayor further said that this Shishu Samadhian will be upgraded by way of laying of paver tiles and construction of waiting shed and other allied works for the people to get relief from sunshine as well as the rainy season and this development work will be executed by the concerned Engineering Division at the estimated cost of Rs 25.00 lacs and announced that more amount will be made available if it is needed and directed the engineers to complete the work with quality material and within the stipulated time period.
