Jammu:- A Deluxe Sulabh Toilet Complex having 4 W.C’s, 5 Baths, One Open Bathroom, 3 Urinals & One Care Taker Room amounting to Rs. 21.00 lacs. at Rajinder Nagar, Ward No. 19, Jammu has been commissioned on 21-07-2020 in presence of Shri Amit Gupta Hon’ble Corporator W.No. 19 & Ms Avny Lavasa (IAS), Worthy Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation. This Toilet Complex has been constructed and will be maintained by the Sulabh International Social Service Organisation on pay & use basis for 30 years.
Ms Avny Lavasa (IAS), Worthy Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, the chief guest of the function appreciated the work done by Sulabh International Social Service Organisation throughout India regarding sanitation services. She said that the long pending demand of the local people because there were no facilities of the toilet and the people, were forced to defecate in the open. She also said that the toilet facility is also essential during Covid-19 so that the no public should defecate in open.
Earlier, Anil Kumar Singh Hony. Controller Sulabh International Social Service Organisation J&K presented welcome addressed and gave a brief report regarding sanitation activities being done by Sulabh International Social Service Organisation all over India.
In the meeting Executive Engineer JMC, AEE JMC, JE JMC, Local people, Media Persons, Police Administration & Sulabh Volunteers were present there. The meeting was ended with vote of thanks.
