    Valley has 6818 active cases among 13078 positives

     Jammu and Kashmir Thursday recorded 718 fresh cases of COVID-19 pandemic including 33 travellers taking the total number of positive cases 16429.

    With 718 new cases, the tally of positive cases in J&K has reached to 16429 including 13078 from Kashmir and 3358 from Jammu division.

    Officials told the news agency, among 718 new cases, 601 belong to Kashmir division while as 117 are from Jammu division, officials said, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division has reached to 13078 including 6818 recoveries while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 3351 including 1891 recoveries and 20 deaths.

    They added that a total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 7438 including 5998 from Kashmir division and 1440 from Jammu division.

    With 102 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 8709 which is 53.009 per cent of the total cases which was over 63 per cent a few days before.

    Pertinently, Srinagar district alone has 3608 positive cases which are more than the total number of positive cases in Jammu division where total cases are 3351

    “Cases tested positive in J&K include 158 from Srinagar, 29 from Baramulla, 106 from Kulgam, 109 from Shopian, 33 from Anantnag, 32 from Kupwara, 56 from Pulwama, 34 from Budgam, 42 from Bandipora and 02 from Ganderbal in Kashmir division while as 117 from Jammu division include 47 from Jammu, 08 from Kuthua, 15 from Rajouri, 07 from Udhampur, 20 from Ramban, 05 from Samba, 04 from Doda, 05 from Poonch, 02 from Kishtwar and 04 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.

    As per officials figures, 3608 positive cases including 75 deaths and 1265 recoveries are from Srinagar, 1738 including 60 deaths and 948 recoveries are from Baramulla, 1354 including 874 recoveries and 26 deaths are from Kulgam, 1293 including 19 deaths and 829 recoveries are from Shopian, 1131 including 19 deaths and 718 recoveries are from Anantnag, 1008 including 602 recoveries and 16 deaths are from Kupwara, 1128 including 554 recoveries and 15 deaths are from Pulwama, 984 including  514 recoveries and 20 deaths are from Budgam, 525 including 373 recoveries and 07 deaths are from Bandipora and 309 including 141 recoveries and 05 death are from Ganderbal.

    In Jammu division, 712 including 467 recoveries and 12 deaths are from Jammu district, 404 including 279 recoveries and 01 death are from Kathua, 501 including 120 recoveries and 02 death are from Rajouri, 382 including 299 recoveries and 01 death is from Udhampur, 439 including 245 recoveries are from Ramban, 349 including 176 recoveries and 01 death are from Samba, 210 including 100 recoveries and 02 deaths are from Doda, 164 including 131 recoveries and 01 death is from Poonch and 92 including 29 recoveries are from Kishtwar and 98 including 45 recoveries are from Reasi.

    As per the daily information bulletin, 343,799 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 40,195 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 7438 persons are in hospital isolation while 12 persons are under hospital quarantine.

    According to the bulletin, 254,221 persons have completed surveillance period and 41,651 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 548,877 samples are available.

    Out of 548,877, the number of samples tested negative stands at 532,448 while as 16,429 have been tested positive, among them 7438 are active and 8709 persons have recovered
