Jammu: A man in uniform acted as a goon when he threatened and abused a scribe for his no fault. The reports said that a Selection grade constable namely Rattan Singh posted at Ramnagar Police station has been assigned a job by the concerned SHO to investigate a case pertaining to a land dispute under the jurisdiction of P/S Ramnagar. Having the apprehension that the scribe namely Narinder Singh Thakur may seek the where abouts of the case, Rattan Singh the IO of the land dispute case called him on phone and after verifying that the scribe received the call, the Cop Rattan Singh started abusing the scribe and threatened him of dire consequences for the reasons best known to the cop. Though the Cop supposed to talk to him in a polite manner and with out knowing the first alphabet or Word Police where stands for politeness, acted like a street goon as if he did not belong to police department and started abusive language against the scribe and also threatened him as it seems that the Cop want to prevent him from performing his professional responsibilities. It is to mention that the Scribe Narinder has been highlighting the issues of public in the area, besides highlighting the administration or Police whenever they do any commendable Job. The locals, civil and police administration have been also hailing the job of the scribe. On contacting SSP Udhampur Sargun Shukla, he assured of action against the Cop Rattan Singh.
