COVID-19 claims six more lives in J&K, toll 498
Srinagar: The death toll due to Novel Coronavirus has reached 498 as six more patients who were tested positive for COVID-19 died in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.
Officials told the news agency— that six patients who died include a 25-year-old man from Dangiwachi Baramulla, a 78-year-old man from Lal Bazar Srinagar, a 68-year-old man from Rainawari Srinagar, a 60-year-old man from Nawabazar Srinagar, a 70-year-old man from Marhama Anantnag and a 50-year-old woman from Larkipora Anantnag.
An official at SKIMS said that a 25-year-old male from Dangiwachi Baramulla who was admitted on 11 August died on Wednesday.
He said that a 78-year-old man from Lal Bazar Srinagar who was admitted on 24 July also died on Wednesday.
An official from SMHS said that a 68-year-old-man from Rainawari who was admitted on 06 August with COPD, bilateral Pneumonia and other ailments died on Wednesday.
He further added that a 60-year-old man from Nawabazar Srinagar who was admitted on 04 August with Pneumonia died on Wednesday.
An official from GMC Anantnag told agencies that a 70-year-old man from Marhama Anantnag and a 50-year-old woman from Larkipora Anantnag who was undergoing treatment from past many days died on Tuesday.
With six more deaths, the death toll due to COVID-19 in J&K has reached to 498 including 461 from Kashmir division and 37 from Jammu division
