Fortnight celebrations of abrogation of Art 370
Raina, Sethi distribute education-kits among slum children
J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina has reiterated that the Article 370 was scrapped only to protect the human rights of the people living in Jammu and Kashmir and help them lead a dignified life promised by the Indian Constitution.
Speaking at the programme held here at Peer Kho, Raina said that Articles 370 and 35A were responsible for Jammu and Kashmir’s backwardness while only benefiting a select few like the separatists and their associates. He said that the abrogation of Article 370 has led to strengthening of the voices of India in the youngest Union territory.
Raina was speaking at the programme organized by Yudhvir Sethi, J&K BJP Vice President as a part of fortnight celebrations to mark the first anniversary of abrogation of Art 370 in J&K. During the Raina along with Yudhvir Sethi and Vinay Sharma distributed education kits among the children of slum areas.
Raina said while earlier there were restrictions on transfer of land, it will now lead to growth and employment and private investments in education, health and tourism. With the restrictions removed, the tourism potential of the state will be fully realized with investment in tourist infrastructure and hotels that will create more jobs, he asserted. He emphasized that it is time to work together to make India self-reliant and technologically advanced.
Raina said that in these times of the corona crisis, the country has moved out of the lockdown phase to the unlock phase. During this unlock period, we should focus deeply on two points- defeating corona and strengthening the economy and bolstering it.”
Yudhvir Sethi said that the neutralization of 370, abrogation of 35-A and reorganisation of J&K State into two Union Territories are acts of transforming the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir into a hub of peace from a hotbed of separatism, terrorism and international intrigue. Jammu and Kashmir has now stands fully integrated without any constitutional reservations that nourished feeling of separateness amongst the people living here.
Jammu District President Vinay Kumar Gupta, said that BJP Government at the Centre has do justice with the people of J and K with repealing of Article 370. He said that people belonging to all religions across the country have rejoiced the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A from Jammu and Kashmir.
