    Jammu: On the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna late Rajiv Gandhi, a program was organized at Rajiv Gandhi Park in Ward 56 Gangyal of Municipal Corporation, Jammu and paid homage to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and then plantation of sapling in the park in memory of Rajiv Gandhi and after that resolved was taken to walk on his teachings and followings.
    The chief guest of the program, former chairman of Jammu Municipal Corporation and senior Congress leader Satish Sharma, while highlighting the biography of Rajiv ji, said that Rajiv ji had revolutionized the world of science in India, his dream was that every house in the country had TV and that everyone should have the facility of phone and for this, he tried his best while holding office as Prime Minister.
    Today when we see a mobile phone in the hands of every Indian. We feel proud that the dream that Rajivji saw for this country has been fulfilled today.
    Satish said that in his short tenure, Rajiv ji did a lot of work for the progress of the country, whether it is to initiating development in rural areas, panchayati raj and took steps to reduce the age of voting to 18 years from 21 years. There is a lot of work that Rajiv Gandhi did during his tenure. He said that if Rajiv ji were alive, today the strength and face of the country would have been different.
    A large number of Congress workers were present on this occasion, including Brahmin Sabha chairman KK Sharma, Congress leader Baldev Singh Wazir youth leader Arjun Kumar, Dilawar Singh Manhas Makhan, Purna Kundal, Sat Verma, Surjit Singh.
