Installed board in 2016, Construction of girls hostel Chowki Jandrore yet to start

Udhampur: The locals of Chowki Jandrore village of Ramnagar, Tehsil of district Udhampur expressed pleasure after the then Govt in 2016 approved a girls hostel at the said village at an estimated cost of Rs 254.76 lakhs. Though a board had been installed by the then MLA Ramnagar leaving the  wave of joyous among the people of the area that their daughters will get better education due to hostel facility. But astonishingly after four years installing the board no work has been started yet, The locals while talking to our reporter said that not even a single stone has been laid at the site for the construction purpose. Though the approval for the same took place during the tenure of then BJP MLA of Ramnagar, but it seems that the BJP is least bothered on the important issue of its construction. BJP has left the people of the area in disappointment and trust of the Govt among the people has been eroded. The people have appealed the DDC Udhampur Piyush Singla and LG Manoj Sinha to look into the matter to get it addressed.
