ACR, CEO visits Chowki Jandrore to take stock over construction of girls hostel building

Udhampur: After a news item published in Daily State Observer few days ago over the non completion  of girls hostel building at Chowki Jandrore of Udhampur district, on Thursday a team of officers comprising of Assistant Commissioner Revenue Vikar Ahmad Giri, Chief Education Officer Udhampur and other officers visited Girls Hostel Building Chowki Jandrore to take stock over the completion of the building. It is pertinent to mention that the construction work was started in 2016 after the then officers laid a foundation  stone for the building. After laying of foundation stone and the sign board at the site, the said hostel building could never be completed. Though the locals  of the area felt joyous after sign board was installed besides laying of foundation stone but their joys turned into disappointment when till date construction work has not been initiated. After talking to our reporter, locals of the area expressed resentment over the delay in construction work of the hostel building, a news item under public issues was published in State Observer few days ago and on Thursday ACR, CEO and other officers visited the site. The locals have felt satisfaction over the visit and hoped that the construction work will be initiated soon.
