On the directions of Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Sh Manoj Sinha Commissioner/Secretary to Govt. Labour and Employment Department Sourabh Bhagat, who is also In- Charge Secretary of District Kishtwar is on two-day tour of Kishtwar to participate in Block Divas and also to review various developmental Works.
On the first day of his tour, yesterday He inaugurated the library here at HS Drabshalla which has been completed
with an estimated cost of Rs 2.5 lakh undertaken in Back to Village phase 1.
He was accompanied by Labour Commissioner J&K, Abdul Rashid War, CEO-cum-Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Building and other construction workers welfare Board Peer Muzaffar.
During the visit, Secretary interacted with the staff of the School and reviewed the infrastructural status of the school.
While reviewing the progress of registration under Mission Mode Project(MMP) of Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, he was informed by ALC Kishtwar that 300 new registration out of total 2000 registration in District Kishtwar during MMP has taken place in Block Drabshalla and 700 more registration in this block are in offing.
Mr Bhagat stressed upon the BDC Chairperson to aware the labourers about the various schemes of Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board besides asked him to register all the eligible construction workers of the Block with the JK building and other construction workers welfare Board
During the two day Visit of District Kishtwar, Commissioner/Secretary will take stock of the various developmental works undertaken in the district besides will today participate in Block Divas at Chatroo.
Additional District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Mohd Hanief Malik, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pawan Parihar, Chairperson Block Development Council Drabshalla Suraj Singh, Assistant Labour Commissioner Kishtwar Anoop Kumar, Tehsildar Drabshalla Arun Sharma, BDO Drabshalla Sobia Fatima Shaad,Xen PWD Division Kishtwar Er. Romesh Singh Jamwal, NT Drabshalla Ehsan Ahmmed Zargar besides other officials remained present on the occasion.
The inaugural ceremony at HS Drabshalla was conducted with due observance of COVID-19 protocol.
