MUKTI NGO takes COVID-19 awareness to Villages Along LoC in Jammu , Distributes Masks and Sanitizers:
In Continuation with its initiative of COVID-19 awareness program amongst different section of the society, MUKTI NGO, a non governmental organization today held Corona awareness program in village Deora near LoC of Panchyat Gango Chak, block Marh of Jammu district wherein the NGO distributed masks and sanitizers amongst the villagers. During the program Female Sarpanch of Panchyat Gango Chak Lazya Devi, Panch Jank Raj and Madan Lal of village Marh Block, prominent people of the area, senior citizens and Anganwadi workers also remained present.
During the interaction with the villagers, Nidhi Sharma, Chairperson of the organization appreciated the local Panchayat representatives for their cooperation in conducting such awareness programs for rural population and appealed the people to follow the basic health guidelines of regularly washing hands, wearing mask, properly wash eatables brought from market and maintaining social distance.

also spoke on the occasion and underlined the importance of immunity booster diet to fight against the corona virus.Though it is the responsibility of government to take such awareness programs in Rural remote area’s, the contribution and role played by MUKTI Society(NGO) “deserves all appreciation” for coming forward to aware villagers about COVID-19 with Special focus on Female’s and Elder’s them by distributing Masks and Sanitizers during the “difficult time” of COVID-19 pandemic, Sarpanch Lazya Devi said.Also she appreciated the efforts of Mukti Society for the welfare of Society. It is pertinent to mention here that earlier the Mukti NGO held similar awareness and masks, sanitizer distribution programs in slums areas, among street vendors of Jammu region.
The concept of social distancing does not exist in villages,” she added. “So we really had to work hard to tell them why they needed to stay away from one another and should wear Mask.
Giving further details about the initiative of her organization in spreading awareness about preventive and precautionary measures against the Corona Pandemic, Nidhi informed that soon her organization would hold similar awareness programs in other border districts of Jammu province. Other people who spoke during the program include General Secretary Pooja Sharma of the Mukti NGO.
“We are thankful to all members and volunteers of MUKTI Society for starting such much needed awareness campaign regarding COVID-19 infection in Zero line villages ofJammu. The way we were educated will help a lot,” a Anganwadi Worker Sharda Devi, said.
