Jammu, 21st of October, 2020: All J&K Youth Federation (AJKYF) joins the protest of Engineer students against the University of Jammu for not conducting backlog examination for final year and pass out students even after guidelines issued by UGC for conducting all type of examination by the end of September, 2020.
Ch. Sanjay Singh Sandhu, Incharge Jammu Province and Vivasvan Sawhney, Chief Sports Cell among volunteers of Youth Federation joins the protest at Jammu University where a protest rally was taken out from main gate to the administrative block raising slogans against the University Administration and for conducting examination.
Ch. Sanjay Sandhu said that various notification are issued by the University of Jammu and its associated colleges for recommending the conduction of online/offline examination for those students having backlog examination but on ground not a single notification has been issued for the students for its commencement due to which the students were left with no other option but to come on road protesting against the administration for their failure.
Vivasvan Sawhney said that the students have approached the University and the Colleges time and again but only a false assurances were made to them for conducting examination. Earlier the examinations were used to held by the end of April-May but due to the COVID-19 virus the schools and colleges were closed and now even after the guidelines of UGC and Superme Court for conducting examination the University of Jammu is silent over conduction of examination for the students having backlog exams in the final year and passed out which is injustice with them as their future is at stake and they are being deprived of various opportunities for applying for government and private vacancies time and again and the same will not be compensated later on.
