Allotment of examination centres for Panchayat Account Assistant are unfair: AJKYF
RAMBAN: 27th of Oct, 2020: All J&K Youth Federation (AJKYF) Ramban district committee, Convenor Muzaffar Malik and Executive Member Imran Farhat expressed deep regret and concern over unfair allotment of examination centres for Panchayat Account Assistant across the region.
In a joint press statement District Convenor and District Executive Member said that keeping in view the location of the examination centres for conducting the objective type written test for the post of Panchayat Accounts Assistant, JKSSB has allotted the centres at different places of all the Districts. Many of the aspirants have been alloted their exam centres at far flung areas even in backward villages which are out of media and network coverage. It has created uncertainty among the aspirants if the staff too will be local to conduct the examination.
They further said, there is an apprehension of mass copying in PAA due to the location of examination centres in far flung areas. No CCTV facilities were there. We request and urge upon the Govt of Jammu and Kashmir to depute the staff of one district to the other districts to conduct the examination. The local staff of the respective districts should not be assigned any of the work in exam centres of their own district. If local staff be appointed in the exam centres it will create obstruction in the transparency of the written test by helping their local candidates in any way.
They further added that we strongly urge upon the LG Administration of Jammu and Kashmir to suspend the internet services on the day of examination i.e., 10th of November 2020. Otherwise, there are many candidates who get benefits by any means and many poor candidates having no means suffer and then fails in the examination. So we strongly urge upon the government to keep the internet services suspended on that so that the examination will be in a fair and transparent way.
