‘Double-double yuvraj’ eyeing Bihar: Modi takes a dig at Rahul, Tejashwi
‘Maa Chhath puja ki tayarri karo, Dilli main tumhara beta baitha hai,” Modi tells women of Bihar
New Delhi, November 1
People are voting for NDA because of its development work, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said at a poll rally in Bihar on Sunday.
Modi cautioned people against “double-double Yuvraj” while evoking the upcoming “Chhatj puja” to reiterate the commitment of his government towards the development and welfare of people.
Speaking in Chhapra, the PM spoke directly to women about their concerns while seeking votes for the NDA which is contesting Bihar elections with incumbent CM Nitish Kumar as it’s face.
“Double-double Yuvraj, out of which one is jungle raj ke Yuvraj, are eyeing your votes ….it is double-double ke Yuvraj versus double engine ki sarkar.
Remember how people of Uttar Pradesh treated one double-double ke yuvraj,” he said reminding people about the coming together of Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav in last elections in Uttar Pradesh.
“What happened to double-double ke yuvraj in UP will happen to double-double yuvraj in Bihar, ” he said attacking RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav and Rahul Gandhi who are together in “mahagathbandhan” against the NDA.
“The two yuvrajs are fighting for their political survival…..They are not concerned about Bihar’s welfare,” he said, also telling youngsters to remember “jungle raj ki sachai” and what their mothers told them about the period.
“Mothers used to warn children about ‘lakarsunghwa’ …they were scared of their children getting kidnapped…..this was the sachai, truth, of jungle raj,” he said
While he slammed the Opposition for questioning Indian Armed forces action and spoke about development/welfare works by the NDA, he is told women to start preparing for Chatt puja without any worries as their son, that is him, was there in Delhi to look after their interests
“Maa Chatt puja ki tayarri karo, Dilli main tumhara beta baitha hai…Start preparing for Chat puja, your son in Delhi will not let you go hungry, ” he said
Also reminding voters about how RJD treated Nitish Kumar and late Raghuvansh Prasad, he said if you want to save Bihar do not vote for ‘jungle raj’.
The PM will be speaking at three more places today- Samastipur, Motihari and Bagaha.
Message from phase 1: NDA is winning, says PM in Samastipur
The message from the first phase of the Bihar elections is that NDA is ahead, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi said a few minutes later in Samastipur
“Political pundits had predicted low turnout in Phase 1….. The turnout in Phase 1 is showing that NDA is ahead,” he said, attributing it to overwhelming support by ‘maa’ ‘behan’ and ‘betis’ of Bihar. Women are ensuring NDA’s win, he said.
The Congress did not even bother to remember Sardar Patel on his birth anniversary yesterday, he said calling it the biggest example of ‘parivaarvaad’ in such parties.
Has any relative of Nitish Kumar or Narendra Modi reached the Rayya Sabha, he questioned saying that NDA believes in “sabka saath sabka vishwas”.
