Forest wood smuggler apprehended at Latti Udhampur and stolen wood recovered

UDHAMPUR : On Monday during patrolling an information recieved from reli able sources that three persons  namely 1) Mohd  sadiq S/o Mohd Yusuf 2) Manzoor Ahmed S/o Siraj Din 3) Manzoor Hussain s/o Ghulam Rasool all residents of Chapper Bandhole Teh Latti District udhampur are illegally cutting trees in the demarcated forest area of Latti Dhuna for the purpose of smuggling the essential forest wood. On this information Police team of PS Latti rushed to the spot and apprehended all the three accused persons alongwith Automatic wood cutter machine, two Iron axes and also seized the wood which belongs to forest department. All the three persons have not shown any permission from concerned department for cutting forest trees. In this connection case Fir no. 1/2021U/S 379,109 IPC, section 6 Forest Act stand registered at PS Latti and Investigation of the case Entrusted to ASI Firdous Ahmed of ps Latti. The above said persons arrested by Inspector Ajay kumar Engotra SHO PS Latti under the guidance of Ahmad Shafi JKPS, SDPO Chenani and under the supervision of Rajinder Katoch, JKPS ASP udhampur and under the overall supervision of Sargun Shukla, IPS SSP Udhampur.
