SAMBA, MARCH 31: The weekly block divas meeting to address the public grievances was today presided over by Deputy Commissioner Samba Anuradha Gupta here at block Ghagwal.
The DC held detailed interaction with the PRIs and locals to get first-hand account of the public grievance and redressal mechanism.
SSP Samba, BDC Chairpersons, District and block level officers, PRI members and a large number of people were present at the day long programme.
The Deputy Commissioner assured that the redress of public grievances will be the first priority of the district administration. She said in addition to weekly block divas, Public can raise their issues on alternate days by visiting DC office from 10 to 11:30 am.
Responding to the issues raised by the people, the DC issued on spot directions for clearance of hindrances on the main market road and eviction of encroachment, if any. The DC also passed directions to concerned officers for submitting grievance specific action taken report.
Meanwhile, revenue Dept distributed 20 certificates including legal heir, domicile, marriage certificates, income and category certificates among the applicants.
The block divas meetings were also held at Bari-Brahmana and Samba blocks.
