Udhampur: NSS Unit of Govt Degree College Ramnagar in collaboration with AYUSH department organized a free medical camp for students and teachers in the college. The camp started with formal inaugural speech of the Principal, Dr Udhey Bhanu in which he stressed upon the basic steps and precautions to be followed during COVID-19. Then, a lecture on “how CORONA virus can affect our immune system and what basic home remedies could be followed to prevent ourselves” was delivered by Dr Prerna Sharma, Medical Officer Khagote. Dr Shamim Choudary, Medical Officer Sunetar also acquainted the students and the staff members with the need of wearing masks, social distancing and healthy living. The camp followed with the free consultations checkups of students and staff members. Around 350 students and staff members were checked and were provided with free immunity boosters like Giloy, Ashwagandha, Chawanparash etc . At the end, Prof Ritika Mahajan NSS Programme Officer delivered the vote of thanks. The camp was organized under the supervision of Dr Udhey Bhanu, Principal GDC Ramnagar and Professort Suresh Kumar Dogra, senior faculty.
