UDHAMPUR: District Police Udhampur successfully foiled consecutive attempts to smuggle bovines by rescuing 109 bovines and arrested 08 bovine smuggler in two different cases.
A police party of PP Tikri led by Inspector Jaswinder Singh assisted by Inspector Chaman Gorka SHO PS Rehambal under the supervision of Sahil Mahajan DYSP Hqrs. Udhampur apprehend one more truck bearing registration number JK18C 2717 for checking at Tikri naka point.
During search, 20 no. of bovine animals were found illegally loaded in above said vehicle without any valid permission. All the bovine animals were rescued and the accused persons namely Javed Ahmed S/O Abdul Salam R/O Kulgam and Usmaan S/O Mh. Jumma R/O Anantnag were arrested on spot. In this connection, a case FIR No. 73/2021 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA act stands registered at P/S Rehambal and further investigation of the case is underway.
In Another Case A police party of PS Chenani led by Inspector Charanjeet Singh under the supervision of Sh. Ahmed Shafi SDPO Chenani laid a naka at Motorshed NHW for checking of vehicles.
During Naka checking at Motorshed, NHW intercepted 06 No.s of vehicles bearing registration No. JK03H 4315, JK20A 8235, JK03J 0114, JK03H 4111, JK02CL 7472 and 4826 (Chasis Number). During search of said vehicles, 89 no. of bovine animals were found illegally loaded in the above said vehicles without any valid permission.
All the bovine animals were rescued and the accused persons namely Shakeel Ahmed S/O Abdul Rahim R/O Tral, Pulwama, Aijaz Ahmed S/O Ghulam Mustafa R/O Baramulla, Mohd. Sabar S/O Kaloo R/O Verinag (Anantnag), Mohd. Shabir S/O Fareed Ahmed R/O Jhajjar Kotli, Rehmatullah S/O Abdul Salam R/O Kulgam, Abdul Sitar S/O Mohd. Yousuf R/O Chanderkote, Ramban were arrested on spot.
In this connection cases FIR no. 43/2021 44/2021 45/2021 46/2021 47/2021 and 48/2021 U/S 188 IPC 11PCA Act stands registered at PS Chenani and further investigation of the case is underway.
