DC assures early redressal of issue

Jammu: Residents of Rasli Gadheran area today held a demonstration at Rasli Gadheran against UT government and district administration alleging that for the last more than two months the post of Patwari is lying vacant, thereby causing inconvenience to the people who are running from pillar to post for their works.
Talking with State Observer Correspondent locals Rasli Gadheran, Rasli Thakrai, Chatrari, Rutaal, Chakal said that several times they had approached the concerned authorities as well as the district administration Udhampur for filling up vacant post of Patwari, but only verbal assurances were given but contrary to their statements nothing has been done and their grievances remained unaddressed.
Sham Parshad a social activist expressing his resentment against the authorities added that the government is least bothered to resolve their issues which are off utmost importance for the people living in remote areas.
“If the government fails to fill up the post of Patwari at Patwar Halqa, Rasli Gadheran of tehsil Basantgarh within at the earliest they will left with no option then to intensify their protest by blocking Ramnagar – Udhampur road” added.
Meanwhile, when contacted Indu Kanwal Chib, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur said that the matter is undoubtedly of utmost importance and being looked up. She assured that it will be resolved at the earliest as soon as possible so that the people may not face further difficulties anymore in Rasli Gadheran.
