Jammu, July 17: Indian Army’s medical patrols proved as boon for local population living in far flung areas of Jammu and Kashmir as the troops assisting the locals in fighting COVID-19.
Indian Army has mobilised Medical Aid Patrol to assist locals populace of the region to effectively fight COVID-19.
Medical Aid Patrols have been organised which include Battle Field Nursing Assistance for spreading awareness on precautions to be taken to prevent spread of the virus, help villagers to register in Cowin App and identify persons displaying COVID-19 symptoms.
Indian Army sent its medical patrol to Dunga Gala. The patrol interacted with the villagers including Sarpanches and Panches.
Villagers were informed about symptoms observed in 2nd strain of COVID-19 and on the importance of practicing preventive measures. COVID medical kits consisting of masks and medicines were distributed to the villagers. The efforts of medical patrol have been appreciated by the villagers.
