JAMMU, MARCH 30: Justice Bilal Nazki, Chairperson J&K State Human Rights Commission, has asked the government to submit a report disclosing the authority of law under which an order has been passed “imposing restrictions on injudicious use of essential commodities in social, government, private functions.”
According to a handout issued by the Secretary SHRC, Justice Bilal Nazki, while taking suo-moto cognizance to a report published in a section of the press on 30 March 2017 under the caption “Imposition of restrictions on injudicious use of essential commodities in social/govt/private functions’’ Directed Commissioner Secretary to Government Department of Food, Civil Supplies Consumer Affairs & Legal Metrology to submit a report disclosing the authority of law under which the said order has been passed.
“Besides, Advocate General is requested to give his legal opinion to the Commission, so that Commission is benefited in finally disposing of the matter and as also Secretary Law is directed to file his response in the matter,” the handout read. The matter has been listed on May 18, 2017.
