Srinagar, 14-Jan:Congress’ Jalandhar MP Santokh Chaudhary died on Saturday after suffering a cardiac arrest during the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
Chaudhary was taking part in the Rahul Gandhi-led march in Phillaur where he fainted.
The leader was taken to Phagwara’s Virk hospital, where he was declared dead.
The yatra was halted following Chaudhary’s death and it is learnt that Rahul Gandhi has gone to the hospital
Meanwhile, the Bharat Jodo Yatra started from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu on September 7 and will conclude in Srinagar on January 30, with Rahul Gandhi hoisting the national flag here.
