New Delhi,28-Apr;Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has stressed on effective implementation of central government’s agriculture schemes in the Union Territories. He said, the government is striving hard for the last mile delivery of agricultural schemes.
While speaking in the review meeting of Agriculture sector schemes of Union Territories today, the Minister said, it is the result of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision that benefit is reaching to every people of the country. Terming agriculture an important pillar, he said, there is no dearth of funds for agriculture sector and the country is at surplus stage in terms of food grains production. He said, over 11 lakh farmers’ families have benefitted by the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme with release of over two lakh 50 thousand crore rupees.
