Vijaypur, March 31: Former Minister and JKPCC general secretary Manjit Singh today advised some political leaders of Kashmir to refrain from giving provocative statements and mislead youth for their political gains.
“Don’t put the state on fire with your irresponsible statements in Kashmir. Situation in Kashmir is worse than last many decades and PDP-BJP Government has totally failed to deal with the situation leading to chaos,” alleged Manjit Singh.
The former Minister was speaking at a function in Radma village of Vijaypur where martyr Sopey Vipin Kumar was remembered for his sacrifice he made while fighting militants during an attack in Raghunath Bazaar area on March 31, 2002. Kumar foiled the militant attack and achieved martyrdom.
Speaking on the occasion, Manjit Singh said that the morale of the security forces has been downed by such statements and provocations worked like wild fire in Kashmir as youth being misled.
“BJP speaks something else on Kashmir and PDP speaks for militants. Their opposite ideology has made situation tense and worse in comparison to in 2002,” he added.
Former Minister further said that the coalition partners which are ruling in Jammu and Kashmir has contributed nothing with no development but damaged the State.
He urged some of the self-centered leaders on is worse in Kashmir and some political leaders misleading youth for their political gains and issuing statements provoking youth and such leaders should refrain misleading to the youth in Kashmir.
“BJP-PDP Govt is direction less because BJP speaks against militants while PDP speaks for militants which has created confusion among the people even as they are coalition,” he added.
