Bhadarwah:- Continuing with it’s drive against increasing liquor menance, Police arrested 2 bootleggers and recovered 110 nips of illicit liquor at Thathri area of District Doda and Patimhal area of Kishtwar on Friday.
According to reports, The accused who has been identified as Kashmir Singh s/o Naresh Singh R/O Gandoh was nabbed on a tip off.
SDPO Bhadarwah Brijesh Sharma said that on an information about a person roaming in Thathri market with county made liquor, a Naka led by SHO Thathri Vinay Parihar was laid to nab the bootlegger.
“During search of the accused who was on way to Gandoh,40 nips of illicit liquor was recovered from his possession,” SDPO added.
In this regard, a case FIR No 21/2017 under section 48-A Excise Act was registered against the accused at Police Station Thathri and further investigation is going on.
Meanwhile, Kishtwar Police also recovered 70 pouches of illicit liquor arrested one person in this regard.
According to reports, the accused has been identified as Shambhu Nath R/O Tander Dachhan was carrying the frooties in his bag for selling in his native village.
A case FIR No. 49/2017 Under Section 48-A has been registered against the accused in PP Patimhal, Kishtwar.
