Srinagar,18- May: Two persons, apparently non-locals, died and nine others were injured after a vehicle met with an accident near the Barsoo area on Srinagar-Anantnag highway.
Official sources confirmed that accident took place at NHW near Goripora Bridge, when a Tempo bearing registration no.JK06-3355 coming from Jammu to Srinagar turned.
During the accident, two persons died on spot while 9 other were injured. The injured were shifted to PHC Awantipora where from they were shifted to SMHS for advanced treatment.
The deceased were identified as Lakshman Dumka resident of jarkhand and suman Devi Chatterpure resident of Madhya Pradesh.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case in this regard and further investigations initiated.
